Utilisation

Traditionally, borage oil is considered a reference oil for sensitive, allergy-prone, inflamed or atopic skin. However, few reliable clinical studies demonstrate its effectiveness. Nevertheless, the effectiveness of the omega-6 fatty acids, which it contains in majority, has been proven and borage oil remains recommended by many specialists for its anti-inflammatory, moisturizing, regenerating and anti-itching properties. Orally, it is also recommended for improving the condition of atopy-prone skin. It is also used in anti-aging product and in the care of dry hair, nails and stretch marks.

Rich in polyunsaturated fatty acids, it is an oil with low oxidation stability. It can be stabilized with an antioxidant or another more stable oil.
